The Universe is Talking, and I am Listening

Updated: May 30, 2021

I was out driving on a beautiful morning in July 2019, just before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. I began to notice the overwhelming cloud formations. In fact, the clouds were captivating all week and had become taller and larger. The clouds began to form several shapes and then dissipate as quickly as they appeared. I always find cumulus clouds interesting. They not only get tall, and at times seem to attach to the ground, but also seem to offer shapes and sizes that remind me of my childhood -- I was always entertained by them. On this day the clouds were remarkably tall, puffy, but like gigantic cotton balls. As I continued to drive, I saw another that compelled me to pull to the side of the road and grab my Nikon Coolpix L110, a small yet convenient camera that always comes in handy when I'm out running errands. I captured several shots of the floating clouds that now formed the shape of a heart. I immediately responded, "I Love You too!" as I continued to shoot to get the evolving image before it dissipated. I think that was the moment I truly began to listen without the need for conscious reasoning. Call it intuition, From that day forward, I now see life differently.
